At Forest City Church, we believe in the power of generosity and coming together as a community to make a difference in the lives of those around us. That's why every month, we choose a different mission to support. In the past, we have collected items for homeless shelters, raised money for school uniforms, packed meals, and gathered food items for the local food bank. These missions are an opportunity for our members to get involved and make a positive impact in our community.

Rock House Kids Christmas

We’re excited to announce the 3rd annual Rock House Kids Christmas Party, happening on December 5th! This special event is designed to create an unforgettable Christmas experience filled with food, games, a festive photo opportunity, and so much more for the Rock House Kids.

Here’s how you can be part of the joy:

Rockford Campus

We are partnering with a local Winter Shelter set up by One Collective that partners with neighborhood churches to provide a safe, warm space for those experiencing homelessness in our city. It is a night shelter, but there will be security presence and experienced staff available through the duration of the volunteer shifts. Here’s how we can help:

  • Volunteer-Volunteers can assist with various tasks, including check-ins and overnight monitoring. There are 3 shifts available from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM, and we’re looking for support any night of the week that works for you.

    • 1st Shift: 7:30 pm to 12 am

    • 2nd Shift: 12 am t0 4:30 am

    • 3rd shift: 4:30 am to 7:30 am

  • Amazon Wishlist: Consider donating items from the Shelter’s Amazon Wishlist. Items can be purchased through Amazon and will be delivered directly to the shelter.

  • Make a financial contribution by clicking the button. All funds will go directly to the shelter.
